There are quite a few great camera smartphones available out there. Vivo is often talked about when it comes to camera smartphones, for a good reason. The Vivo X200 Ultra is still one of the best out there, and the same goes for the new Vivo X300 Pro. Some users are eagerly awaiting the successor to the Vivo X200 Ultra, though, the Vivo X300 Ultra.
Vivo’s upcoming phone could become a photography king once again
Well, a new report has just surfaced, and according to it, the Vivo X300 Ultra could once again have some of the best camera sensors on the market. Well, looking at all three of its rear camera sensors, that is.
The Vivo X200 Ultra managed to shock many people by offering two 1/1.28-inch sensors, and one 1/1.4-inch sensor on the back, Not a single company managed to match that. The Vivo X200 Ultra was immensely capable, regarding what sensor you’re using. You didn’t have to avoid the ultrawide one in low light, for example, not at all.
If you add to that Vivo’s and ZEISS’ partnership, you get an outstanding camera smartphone. Many would still say that it’s the best, or amongst the top three best camera smartphones, at least.
It will pack two 200-megapixel cameras and an extremely capable ultrawide one
Well, according to a new report from Digital Chat Station, one of the most prominent tipsters out there, the Vivo X300 Ultra is worth waiting for. He says that the phone will use two 200-megapixel cameras, and a great ultrawide one.
The main camera on the phone will offer a 35mm focal length, which will make plenty of photographers happy. Based on the provided information, that will be a 200-megapixel camera, but we’re not sure which one. We’ll get back to that.
The second 200-megapixel camera will be the periscope telephoto one. He mentioned that it’s upgraded compared to the Vivo X200 Ultra’s. That phone used a 1/1.4-inch ISOCELL HP9 sensor. We’re not sure if the sensor change is coming, or if the tipster is referring to something else.
What about the ultrawide unit? Well, a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor will be used. That is the same camera sensor that Vivo used in the Vivo X200 Ultra. He also mentioned that we should expect “a technologically advanced image enhancement”, whatever that means.
That 200-megapixel main camera is still a mystery
Now, let’s circle back to the main camera. The largest 200-megapixel camera available on the market now is a 1/1.4-inch one. We doubt that Vivo would jump from a 1/1.28-inch sensor to a 1/1.4-inch one. So either the info is inaccurate, or there’s a new sensor coming. Sony’s LYT-910 was rumored to arrive, which is allegedly a monstrous new 200-megapixel sensor. We’re still not sure how accurate are those rumors, as they sounded too good to be true, but we’ll see.
The best of all? The Vivo X300 Ultra is rumored to come in a global variant this time around, finally.
