The golden age of muscle cars, often considered the mid-1960s through the very early 1970s, is remembered fondly by those who were around during that time. Even those who came well after the glory days of American muscle hold some of the cars produced during that time in high regard, and for good reason, too. After all, the classic muscle car era was cut quite short by none other than government red tape, as new emissions regulations introduced in 1973 effectively choked the life out of the muscle car boom.
