You know that feeling when a concept car actually surprises you? That’s what the Chery T1TP concept – also known as the “6=1” – does. Unveiled at the 2025 Chery International User Summit in Wuhu, China, this thing looks like your typical large SUV until you realize it can literally change shape.
Chery calls it “6=1” because, in theory, you’re getting six vehicles in one body. At its core, it’s a unibody seven-seat SUV. But pop off the rear canopy, and it morphs into a double-cab pickup with a 600-liter bed. Remove a few more panels, and it becomes an adventure rig ready to haul kayaks, camping gear, or lumber. Add some accessories, and you’re suddenly in “Camper Mode,” complete with roof tent, side awning, and external power hookups. It’s like someone looked at a Kia Telluride and a Honda Ridgeline and thought, “Why not both?”

Built to Be Used, Not Just Looked At
Now, let’s be clear: this isn’t some push-button, transformer-style tech demo. To transform the Chery Tiggo X concept, you will need tools to switch between modes. But that’s part of the charm. It’s a throwback to when cars invited you to tinker and when versatility meant grabbing a wrench, not swiping a screen.
The T1TP concept rides on a unibody platform, so it’s more of a crossover than a truck. Think Rivian R1S meets Honda Ridgeline with a dose of modular madness. Chery says it seats seven comfortably, with enough space inside for kids to stand up and “elderly passengers to enter without bending over.” I don’t know about you, but that’s not a feature you hear every day.

Chery is China’s top Importer. Full Stop.
Chery plans to debut the production version in May 2026, with production kicking off in the third quarter. And they’re not keeping it to themselves. Being China’s top exporter for the past 1 decades, they’re eyeing global markets, including Australia. Maybe even the U.S. someday, if the stars align.
Now, Chery says there are six configurations and nine use cases, but they’ve only shown us three so far. The rest? Still under wraps. But even with half that promise, it’s one of the most intriguing concepts we’ve seen in a while. The Chery T1TP Concept is a vehicle that wants to be whatever you need it to be.
So no, you can’t fit six cars in your 2-car garage, nor can you drive a Swiss Army knife – but this might be the closest thing yet.
