
The past five years have been a whirlwind in the automotive industry, and there have been casualties. As companies grapple with changing consumer tastes and ever-stringent emissions regulations, electric vehicles have been hailed as the solution to everyone’s problems. But it turns out, maybe they’re not. Demand is down, and combustion now seems back on the table, at least with some hybrid assistance. What this means for our future is anyone’s guess, but it doesn’t change the fact that plenty of fun models were killed off, and perhaps some too soon.
