These days, buying a cheap new car is quickly becoming a thing of the past. A decade ago, if you were shopping for a brand-new car with a sticker price under $20k, you were spoiled for choice. Models like the Ford Focus, Chevrolet Cruze, and Hyundai Accent made up just a portion of all available namesakes at a bargain-basement price. Back then, buying new instead of used seemed to make a bit more sense than it does now with models such as those on offer.
