The idea of reinventing the wheel has probably crossed a few minds, and so has the concept of creating new engine configurations. More than a century has passed since the automobile was in its infancy. Since then, we’ve seen the debut of many iconic and infamous engines, such as the short-lived Cadillac Blackwing engine and Ford’s EcoBoost engines, which have garnered as many problems for Ford as they have awards.
