Google’s Pixel 11 may come with some intriguing design changes, if the design suggested by a recent case render leak turns out to be accurate. Of course, it’s worth noting that these are just leaked renders, so as always, take the possible design with a grain of salt until there is confirmation. Which, by the way, is going to be a while, given that Google probably won’t show the Pixel 11 series off until later this year.
With all of that said, the Pixel 11 case render leak points to a mostly unchanged design for the phone. That seems pretty plausible, as this exclusive leak showing the Pixel 11 Pro Fold design looks mostly unchanged from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. If the design is in fact mostly unchanged, this will no doubt divide the fandom. There are always some who oppose the idea of keeping phone designs the same. Calling the companies that make devices like this uninnovative. Others appreciate the unchanged designs, adopting the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” choosing to see the similarities in design as making only the necessary refinements.
The Pixel 11 case render suggests that the phone will come with a smaller camera bump
The camera bump is the main focus of these design changes, based on the render, as the rest of the phone design appears to be the same. The shape and dimensions of the case compared to a Pixel 10 version appear pretty similar, save for the camera bump.
The shape of the cutout shows a shallower ridge, which suggests that the camera bump won’t be as tall as it is on the Pixel 10 series. It still appears to span the width of the phone, however. Another change is the shape of the cutout. It’s easy to miss if you simply glance at it, but if you take a few extra seconds, the shape of the camera cutout is slightly different.
As pointed out by Android Authority, the camera cutout has more of a rounded rectangle shape compared to the rounded pill shape that’s available on the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series. Again, these are just case renders and not leaked images of the phone itself. It’s also entirely possible that things could change, though that seems less likely, given that Google will probably release these phones close to the Fall.
