Google’s Pixel 10a isn’t much of a mystery anymore, but there are still some unknowns, such as battery endurance, overall performance, and a few other random specific details. When it comes to battery endurance, or battery life, or however you want to refer to it, the answer to how long the phone lasts may have just been answered.
The EU label and battery endurance rating have reportedly leaked, and it offers up a few details about the phone. The battery endurance is one such detail. The label also notes that the Pixel 10a has an IP68 rating, much like the Pixel 9a, and like the Pixel 10 series, it can go through 1,000 charge cycles before the battery capacity drops below 80% of its original amount. These are all useful pieces of information. Having said that, most people likely care about one thing out of all those details. How long does the phone last on a single charge?
The battery endurance of the Pixel 10a lasts for up to 53 hours and 14 minutes
This is an interesting detail to come across because the battery capacity is 5,100mAh. This is the same battery capacity as the Pixel 9a. Google rates the battery endurance of the Pixel 9a at over 30 hours on a single charge. That’s a huge difference compared to the endurance rating given by the EU.
There are some things to take into account. The label, nor the report for that matter, mentions how the battery endurance is tested. So, there could be a lot of variables that would change this up. Everybody uses their phones differently as well. That’s also going to change how long the battery lasts on a single charge. Still, having it rated at 53 hours and 14 minutes is a good sign of things to come. Because that is easily two days of use. This is likely a very attainable battery goal for those who use their phone a lot less.
In addition to the battery details and the IP68 rating, the Pixel 10a’s EU label also mentions the free-fall reliability. In other words, how well the phone does with drops. It got an A rating here, so that’s good for the fumbly folk. We’d still recommend putting a case on it. Especially since the Pixel 10 is bound to be one of this year’s best budget Android phones, not to mention one of the best Pixel phones, and you aren’t going to want to throw away money by breaking it.
