- Sedan debuts in Mexico next month with 118 hp.
- Range-topper sports Bose audio and 12.3-inch display.
The 2026 Nissan Versa went into production earlier this week, but the automaker hasn’t said much about the redesigned model. That’s slowly starting to change as the company has revealed a handful of details, ahead of its official debut on March 3.
Starting with equipment, the Versa will be offered in three different trims in Mexico. Starting things off is the entry-level Sense, which features LED lighting units and 15-inch steel wheels.
The model also sports six airbags and a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Customers will also find forward collision warning and emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The Sense CVT adds a handful of extras besides a continuously variable transmission. This includes an engine start/stop button, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The model also appears to have a two-speaker audio system, a shark fin antenna, and automatic door locks.

The Advance trim sports welcome lighting and 16-inch aluminum wheels. It also gets a four-speaker audio system and what sounds like a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. They’re joined by a passive entry system and what appears to be an around view monitor. Customers can also get an Advance CVT, but it appears to have the same equipment.
The range-topping Versa Exclusive is CVT-only and it rides on larger 17-inch aluminum wheels. The upgrades continue inside with a 12.3-inch infotainment system and an eight-speaker Bose premium audio system. Other highlights include a wireless smartphone charger, lane departure prevention, and blind spot intervention.

Nissan bills the Versa as the “most technologically advanced sedan in its class” and the cabin looks relatively upscale as the aforementioned Bose audio system adds speakers to the headrests. We can also see rudimentary climate controls and what appears to be a soft-touch dashboard with faux contrast stitching.
However, lower end trims are less impressive as there’s analog gauges and plenty of hard plastics. They’re joined by a flat-bottom steering wheel and a handful of silver flourishes.
We can expect to learn more about the Versa next month, but Nissan has already confirmed the essentials. Power comes from a 1.6-liter four-cylinder producing 118 hp (88 kW / 120 PS) and 110 lb-ft (149 Nm) of torque. Like the outgoing model, buyers can choose between a manual gearbox and a CVT, with power sent to the front wheels.
