
Historically, the US hasn’t been the kindest market for hot hatchbacks. This is especially the case when you compare the American hot hatchback market to Europe’s. Consumers are far more accepting and loving towards the hot hatch over on the Old Continent. While we can blame things like our huge country and a general disdain for smaller vehicles for our lack of mass-market hot-hatch love, we also have to remember that there are simply not as many twisty back roads as there are in Europe, meaning fewer opportunities to take a tight-handling little sports car or hot hatch out for a spirited drive.
