For better and for worse, we’ve never really seen a period of such rapid, dramatic change in the automotive industry since the post-war era. Over the last decade, there has been a significant proliferation of electric cars and hybrids. Plus, horsepower has doubled and tripled among high-end performance models and supercars. We’ve also seen the manual transmission slowly disappear from the market, to the point where finding a stick shift outside of cars marketed specifically to gearheads is a challenge.
