Foldables with stylus support are nothing new, but what might be new is “multispectral stylus support,” which is now rumored to be coming to devices like the Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 this year. Both of these devices are slated for launch in the next couple of months, but it’s not quite clear what multispectral stylus support is.
What is clear is that a book-style foldable without stylus support seems like it would be a very unoptimized user experience. The bigger display warrants the use of a stylus pen for things like drawing and taking notes. With that being said, it isn’t really a shock that both these new phones will support a stylus. It’s the type of stylus that makes this new bit of information intriguing.
The Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 will have “multispectral stylus support,” whatever that means
Multispectral stylus support isn’t something that’s currently offered by other devices from other manufacturers. That could make the Honor Magic V6 and the Oppo Find N6 the first two devices to offer it. According to the leak, which comes from Smart Pikachu on Weibo, both of these phones will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a multispectral stylus, alongside large-capacity batteries in the range of 7,000mAh.
GSM Arena speculates that a multispectral stylus could be a better stylus with improved accuracy and the ability to pick up on how much pressure you’re using with it. It’s also speculated that it could enable the capability to detect more angles and come with hover detection. It’s not mentioned whether or not either of these devices will actually come with a stylus, or if these are just features that would be enabled by having support for this type of stylus. Either way, it sounds like these are more advanced stylus features that both phones could benefit from.
The Honor Magic V6 is supposed to make its debut at MWC 2026, while the Oppo Find N6 is expected to get an announcement soon after.
