Not that long ago, we took a look at the electric conversion scene, and what we found was that it’s actually a lot easier to completely electrify a car, truck, or SUV than to hybridize it. One of the biggest challenges is that adding an electric motor and a battery pack to an existing ICE powertrain and finding space for them somewhere in there is a lot trickier than gutting the whole engine and replacing it with an electric powerplant.
