For the first time ever, a Honda V8 is available for the mass public. It’s no longer a motorsport-exclusive product that you get to see when you go down to the racetrack. This time, the V8 is available for both you and me to purchase. However, if you are expecting to hit the rev-limiter on the highway drive with this V8 engine, you’ll probably be disappointed, because this time, the V8 with a Honda badge on it will not be in a Civic or Pilot SUV, but a boat. But despite a V8 Honda not being on the road being once again disappointing petrolheads like you and me, the history behind the eight-cylinder is surprisingly interesting. From the Indy racetrack all the way to the highest Formula One, the Honda-built V8 never fails to impress people. But rather than making noise, the engine is making waves this time around.
