It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since BMW introduced its first M-tuned SUVs in the form of the X5 M and X6 M. The performance duo arrived for the 2010 model year in the US, much to the ire of M fans who had to convince themselves that the M division’s performance ethos wouldn’t be watered down by chunky midsize SUVs joining the ranks.
