Many of you will know of the diesel engine’s popularity throughout Europe. Because a diesel mill is better able to achieve good fuel economy than an equivalent gasoline engine, loads of European-built vehicles were offered with a diesel-engined option. While this isn’t so much the case these days as EVs and plug-in hybrids become more and more commonplace, finding an older Volkswagen Polo or some sort of small Audi with a diesel motor underneath the hood is nothing out of the ordinary.
