For many non-gearheads, older American cars are the subject of scrutiny. For some, the sight of a mint-condition 2004 Ford Crown Victoria LX, for example, doesn’t spark admiration for the owner’s ability to maintain their ride. Rather, the question of how old and run-down it must be, because the Crown Vic looks like an old car. Because of this alone, the owner should think about upgrading to a newer, “better” car.
