In the United States, most vehicle buyers are not smitten with the modern station wagon. In the past, the wagon was, arguably, the most popular way to haul your family around. After all, most full-size wagons were based on larger sedans and boasted seating for up to eight people across three rows, plus the ability to carry whatever sort of stuff your family required for travel. The glory days of the American station wagon went away slowly, beginning with the introduction of the minivan in the early 80s.
