TCL has launched its new lineup of Google TV sets in the form of the TCL T7 series. These feature 4K HDR QLED panels, which are claimed to offer “cinematic picture quality and ultra-smooth performance.” Despite the top-tier hardware, the TCL models don’t burn your pockets either, as they are quite affordable, much like other TCL models.
TCL T7 TVs feature Google TV OS and Dolby Vision
The TCL T7 series features QLED displays and is available in multiple screen sizes, including 55, 65,75, and 85 inches. So there’s something for everyone. The panels offer a 144Hz native refresh rate on the 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch models. The smaller 55-inch version just has a 120Hz native refresh rate. This should be quite an upgrade for those coming from the standard 60Hz and LCD panels.
Furthermore, TCL claims the screens offer high brightness and support HDR10, HDR10+, Open HDR, HLG, and Dolby Vision. These should offer an immersive viewing experience for you. The black borders around the screen are quite minimal; in fact, they’re hardly noticeable. The TVs should be able to handle gaming as well, with all the display tech.
There’s something for everyone
The T7 series TVs get their power from TCL’s AiPQ Pro processor, which intelligently optimizes color, contrast, and picture clarity in real-time. There’s Google TV running the show right out of the box. You get built-in mics for “Hey Google” voice commands. The 85-inch model reportedly gets a dedicated subwoofer for a full 2.1-channel setup. This offers 40W of power and Dolby Atmos. The 75-inch variant apparently offers 30W output.
Coming to price, the TCL T7 55-inch version sets you back by $599.99, the 65-inch model costs $699.99, and the 75-inch edition sits at $899.99. Lastly, the top-end 85-inch edition is pricier at $1,399.99. There are no details regarding their availability yet.
