In early 2024, Subaru announced that it was retiring the Legacy sedan. On September 12, 2025, at around 3 p.m. Eastern time, the final one rolled off the assembly line at the Subaru of Indiana Automotive factory. The last car was in the mid-range Limited trim in the color Magnetite Gray. A spokesperson for the automaker told Carbuzz that this car will go to a customer, rather than staying in the company’s collection.
