There are two sides to Stellantis, and both are known for taking big risks when it comes to suspension systems. The latest one comes from the French side and calls for putting leaf springs back underneath passenger cars. CarBuzz found the patent, which looks at reviving a solid rear-axle car with rear leaf springs, while solving the issues that got the ancient design kicked out of cars in the first place. And no, this isn’t a sideways-mounted spring like in the back of a pre-C8 Corvette or a Volvo XC90.
