In the 90s, Japan was cranking out some of the most legendary designs and engines in the history of the automobile: the 2JZ, 4AGE, and K20, just to name a few. Nissan, which was riding a high that few manufacturers could reproduce, especially when compared to the modern Nissan lineup that includes mediocre models like the Sentra. Back then, the brand had its own line of powerful, tunable, and built-proof engines. The SR20 and its different derivatives would be one of these legendary Japanese engines, powering humble grocery getters, early Infiniti models and, of course, the legendary S chassis.
