Yet another Aston Martin Valkyrie is heading to auction, this time finished in a gorgeous shade of purple that makes it stand out even among the rarest hypercars. It’s expected to fetch as much as $4.1 million.
Like several other Valkyries that have changed hands recently, this one has barely been driven, showing just 97 km (60 miles) under its belt, meaning the owner enjoyed more time staring at it than actually driving it.

The Valkyrie Spider is significantly rarer than the Coupe. In fact, whereas the hardtop car was capped at 150 units, Aston Martin built just 85 examples of the Spider.
This particular car, number 39, was commissioned for Argentine businessman Alejandro Roemmers, whose impressive garage has at various times included a Pagani Zonda Cinque, a Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, and a Bugatti Centodieci.
In designing his dream Valkyrie, he paid £25,000 ($33,500) to have it painted in Storm Purple Gloss with Trophy Silver accents. And that’s just the start.

The hypercar also includes exposed carbon fiber on the roof panels, engine cover, windshield wiper mount, and large sections of the lower body. Roemmers paid £45,000 ($60,500) for the carbon fiber and another £40,000 ($53,700) for the matte black aluminum wheels.
Then there’s the cabin. The seats have been trimmed in gorgeous Phantom Grey Alcantara, and there are heaps of exposed carbon fiber parts throughout. Roemmers also paid extra for the Interior Hardware Pack, which includes silver-anodized steering wheel switches.
In total, he paid £237,500 ($319,000) worth of extras, according to Broad Arrow Auctions. That’s more than the U.S. sticker price of a new Ferrari Amalfi, which starts from around $280,000, and not far off a $350,000 296 GTB, proof that even options can cost supercar money in this league.

Valkyries are Trading Hands
Valkyries are known for their performance and equally notorious for their complexity. Reports of electrical quirks and demanding maintenance schedules have become part of the ownership story.
Earlier this month, the Valkyrie Coupe originally owned by ex-F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo was sold by Broad Arrow Auctions for €2.28 million or $2.66 million.
If you have a few million lying around and want to own this purple Valkyrie Spider, head on over to the listing here for more information.
