Cornelius Apartments, a 137-unit property located at 306 Blanchard Street in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, has sold for $19 million.
Dylan Simon, Jerrid Anderson, Matt Laird, and JD Fuller of the Simon | Anderson Multifamily Team at Kidder Mathews represented the seller. “This transaction underscores the continued investor demand for well-located multifamily assets in Seattle’s urban core,” said Simon. “Looking ahead, properties like Cornelius Apartments highlight the opportunities for investors to participate in both the neighborhood’s resurgence and Seattle’s long-term growth story.”
Built in 1925, the classic brick nine-story building features units averaging 455 square feet. Originally designed as a hotel, Cornelius has a colorful past that includes hosting high-profile guests such as Elvis Presley during the era of the 1962 World’s Fair and the unveiling of the Space Needle. The property is close to Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and Olympic Sculpture Park, with nearby dining, nightlife, and cultural venues.
