Score Entertainment is eyeing a former Sears store in Houston to open its new entertainment concept. The 150,000-square-foot venue will go in at Deerbrook Mall, 20131 US Highway 59 N. in Humble.
The Houston Business Journal reports the estimated $2 million renovation is expected to start on June 1 and to be completed one year later. Albany Studio is listed as the design firm.
Score Entertainment’s offerings will include go-karting, laser tag, mini golf, virtual reality, a sports simulator, a trampoline park, axe throwing, bowling and an arcade. The project will also include a food and beverage component.
Sears stores closed soon after 2020, and a new company was formed to fill the space in stores throughout the US. The Houston Business Journal reports that an entertainment concept is also under construction at the former Sears at Willowbrook Mall. Round1 will occupy a little over half of the 191,018-square-foot former Sears store there.
