Seattle Children’s has signed a major lease at Trammell Crow Company‘s (TCC) newest life sciences development in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.
TCC and partner Washington Capital Management welcomed Seattle Children’s Research Institute to 1916 Boren. Shelley Gill and Adam Brenneman of Hazelbrook Advisors represented Seattle Children’s in its lease, and CBRE’s Paul Carr represented the landlord. Other project partners include Collins Woerman, the project’s architect of record, and Lease Crutcher Lewis, the project’s general contractor.
The 11-story, 282,700-square-foot life sciences project was recently delivered in Seattle’s Denny Triangle neighborhood. Seattle Children’s has already begun moving into the building, which will occupy 124,000 square feet for pediatric research. CBRE is leasing and marketing the rest of the building.
“We’re very proud to finally be welcoming Seattle Children’s to 1916 Boren,” said Mike Nelson, Managing Director and Market Leader for TCC’s Seattle office. “We believe this project has set a new standard for life sciences infrastructure in our region, and we look forward to announcing more high-quality tenants soon.”
