Amazon has a fantastic deal going on right now for the TCL QM6K series of TVs. The entire lineup is up to $500 off, but that doesn’t sound like that great of a deal since we did see deeper discounts rather recently. However, TCL did lower the regular price of all of these models in the past week. So these prices are indeed all-time lows.
Here’s how the pricing works out for each model:
- 55″ – $497 (reg. $599)
- 65″ – $592.01 (New is out of stock, only available as “used”)
- 75″ – $698 (reg. $999)
- 85″ – $999 (reg. $1,499)
- 98″ – $1,997 (reg. $2,299)
Obviously, the largest percentage-point discount is going to be on the 85″ model, but the most logical discount is going to be the 55″ and 65″ models. I actually have the 65″ model right now, which I’m currently working on a review of, and I absolutely love it. For a sub-$1,000 TV, it performs really well.
The QM6K was announced at CES in January, and actually went on sale the same day. So this TV has actually been out for a few months already. This is TCL’s mid-range QLED Mini-LED option. There’s also the QM7K that was recently announced, and we expect to see a QM8K in the future.
This TV has basically all the bells and whistles you could want, including Dolby Vision IQ, IMAX Enhanced, High HDR Brightness, 144Hz Native Refresh Rate, 288 Game Accelerator, and so much more. There’s also Dolby Atmos included, providing some pretty decent sound. It’s not the best sound out there, and if you’re an audiophile, you’ll still want to connect a soundbar to it. But for most people, I think the sound is perfectly fine.
TCL has also included Google TV as its OS. So you’re getting access to hundreds of thousands of apps, as well as Google Assistant. This will soon turn into Gemini, as Google demoed at CES as well. But that hasn’t happened just yet. Of course, if you use iOS, you’re not left out either, as TCL supports AirPlay 2 on this TV. And it works flawlessly.
For gamers, there is AMD Freesync Premium Pro, providing you with a stunning gaming experience. Especially when tied with the 144Hz refresh rate, natively.
