Samsung has a mysterious pair of new true wireless earbuds in the pipeline that are currently being referred to as the Galaxy Buds Able, and they just surfaced for the second time this week, this time with a certification for one of the components that will make up the earbuds.
On April 2, the Galaxy Buds Able name surfaced inside of the Galaxy Buds app on Android. This pointed to Samsung’s plan for a new pair of earbuds and suggested that the company was already working on them. The name popping up in the app also has people wondering if the earbuds are close to release. While there’s no certainty that Samsung plans to release these earbuds at all let alone in the near future, the new evidence of the certification showing up seems like a strong indicator that Samsung is moving forward with this device.
Samsung Galaxy Buds Able receive battery certification through BIS
A battery certification is far from a guarantee that customers will see these on shelves in the next few months, or at any point, but it’s a start. As reported by SammyGuru (via Android Authority), the Galaxy Buds Able have received their battery certification through the BIS. The BIS is the Bureau of Indian Standards, which also lists the model number of these earbuds as EB-BU600AAY. They were listed with the “SM-U600” model number in the older report. The latter is likely the model number that would be associated with the production version of the product that people buy. The model number listed with the BIS may just be an internal model number used by the regulatory body.
Other than the battery being certified for these earbuds, there’s not much else about them that are known, nor is there any other information available with the certification. That being said, with these surfacing in two different spots within just 24 hours, it’s a safe bet that these will eventually hit the market.
