Samsung has just announced a new version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the ‘Olympic Edition’. As some of you know, this is a specialized phone designed exclusively for Olympic athletes, as was the case in the past.
This particular one is designed for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. The device will land in the hands of 3,800 athletes from nearly 90 countries. And no, you will not be able to buy it.
As you can see in the image below, the phone has a blue glass on the back. Samsung went with that color to align with the ‘Italian azure’, as Italy is the host of these Olympic games. The frame is gold-colored, to symbolize a gold medal.

In the image above, you’ll also see a case that Samsung is including in the box. It has a blue circular magnet on the back. The phone also comes with custom wallpapers, which are inspired by the visual interaction between skate blades and ice surfaces.
The hardware specs are basically the same as on the standard version. So the only thing different here is the paint job on the phone, including goodies in the box, and smaller parts of the software. Some additional apps are included. That’s basically it.
Samsung did highlight some AI features included in the device, though, as expected. Interpreter, Now Brief, Photo Assist, and Dual Recording.
Samsung also introduced the ‘Victory Profile’+, which is a project using the Galaxy S25 Ultra to capture portraits of athletes from select National Olympic Committees (NOCs), to highlight their personal stories beyond the field of play.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition also comes with a complimentary 100GB 5G eSIM, and a Galaxy Athlete Card, which is a digital platform for athletes to exchange profiles and connect with peers.
Samsung Wallet includes digital passes for village amenities, and the ‘Athlete365’ app is also included. That app is integrated with Now Brief, and it’s supposed to provide competition news and mental health support.
