Samsung just showed us one of the very best use cases for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy Display feature. The teaser has been shared by Ice Universe, one of the best-known tipsters out there, but we’re not sure where he got it from.
Here’s how the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display shuts down shoulder surfers
This is an official teaser, though, and it’s embedded below this paragraph. It is quite short, as it lasts only 11 seconds, but as already mentioned, it shows us a great use case for the Privacy Display feature.

The teaser shows a person who uses a Galaxy S26 Ultra in a subway. That person is flanked by two people who are staring down, and looking at the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display aka shoulder surfing.
The moment the Privacy Display toggle gets switched, however, they can no longer see anything but a dark display. With that feature, only the person who is looking at the display straight on can see what’s on it.
You’ll be able to enable this feature for specific apps only, if you wish
This is actually a great addition by Samsung, as it removes the need for third-party privacy screen protectors. You can also enable/disable it as you wish. We also know you’ll be able to enable it for specific apps only.
You can set it for your banking app(s), or anything else you don’t want other people to see. If you don’t want them to see anything in general, that’s an option too, of course.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will become official on February 25. The company announced as much not long ago, and in addition to that phone, Samsung will also announce the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+.
All three phones will be quite similar to their predecessors, both on the inside and outside. There are some new features that will be added, however, like this Privacy Display feature, for example. That one will be exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, based on what we know thus far.
