Samsung launched a PC version of its browser last year after being mobile-exclusive for a long time. It was available in beta, but came with certain restrictions. At some point, the PC version of the browser was expected to expand to more users gradually. Well, that time appears to have finally come as the Samsung Internet for PC reportedly expands browser availability to everyone.
Samsung Internet PC browser expands availability to everyone
The Samsung Internet PC version was only available to users in South Korea and the US, and also required a Samsung Developer account. These restrictions kept many users away from accessing the browser. SammyGuru reports that Samsung has now lifted those restrictions, and Samsung Internet for Windows is now available for anyone to download.
There are now no regional restrictions, and you don’t need a developer account. However, the app apparently continues to be in beta, so this isn’t a full stable release yet. But this is a big step towards a global stable rollout.
Seamless data syncing
If you are already using Samsung Internet on your phone, be it a Galaxy or a non-Galaxy, installing the PC version on your computer would make things seamless for you. Like most browsers across mobile and PC, Samsung Internet also offers proper syncing. That means your browsing history, bookmarks, Samsung Pass autofll and other data will be consistent across devices.
Samsung Internet PC browser includes all modern day essential you’d expect. You get built-in Galaxy AI that offers summarization and translation of websites inside the browser. There’s also Samsung Pass integration that makes it easier to log into websites through saved credentials.
