The Galaxy Z TriFold doesn’t yet have a release date in the US, but it is available in Korea, China, and the UAE. It’ll be available in the US in Q1, with rumors pointing towards a January 30 release date.
We did have a chance to check out the Galaxy Z TriFold at CES earlier this month, and it’s mighty impressive. We’ve used loads of foldables in the past, and Samsung does make a really good foldable in the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Now we’re looking at a trifold, something that unfolds from a bar-shaped smartphone to a 10-inch tablet, which is infinitely more usable than a regular foldable device.
Of course, the Galaxy Z TriFold is not going to be cheap, with rumors putting it at around $2,760 in the US. It does cost right around $2,500 in Korea already, so it’s definitely gonna be on the expensive side, and Samsung is also not making a ton of these.
It’s unlikely that the Galaxy Z TriFold will be sold by carriers here in the US, given the fact that this is going to be very expensive and Samsung is not planning to have a whole lot of units available in the US. We’ve heard rumors that they are limiting it to about 3,000 units per country. Which is not enough to really warrant having it sold on US carriers. It will likely be available from Samsung’s website only. We’ve also heard rumors that it won’t have any pre-order deals or trade-ins online.
