The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is now getting the October 2025 Android security patch. It’s coming later in the month than usual, but it’s finally here. The rollout is starting in South Korea, in case you’re wondering.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 owners are now getting the October 2025 update
As is usually the case, this update will spread to a number of countries all around the world in just a couple of days. The company is usually really good when it comes to distributing software updates.
With that being said, the update weighs around 535MB, and it comes with a firmware version F966NKSS5AYJ3. This update seemingly does not bring any new features to the table, but it does bring security fixes.
This update brings a total of 26 security fixes
The patch brings fixes for 14 security vulnerabilities from Google, for Android, and 12 of them from Samsung. That’s a total of 26 security fixes included in Samsung’s October 2025 security patch.
All of these fixes are marked as high-priority, none of them are marked as critical. As per usual, we don’t have the specifics on those fixes, but what matters is that they increase the level of security.
Even if the rollout started in your region, the update is coming in stages. In other words, you may need to be patient. Not everyone will get the update at the same time, it could take up to a couple of weeks for it to arrive to every device.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, as many of you know, is the company’s latest and greatest foldable. It represents a bit jump from the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and it will continue to get prompt updates for years. If you’d like to know more about the device, check out our full Galaxy Z Fold 7 review.
