Samsung has made it official: Unpacked will take place on July 9, 2025, in Brooklyn, New York. This marks the first time that Samsung has returned to Brooklyn since the Galaxy Note 10 announcement in 2019. But this also means that we know the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 release date now.
Samsung will typically open pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 immediately after Unpacked is over. So we expect Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 pre-orders to begin on July 9. And they should be arriving around July 23-25. Samsung also sometimes ships devices well ahead of the release date. Earlier this year, with the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung shipped out many devices about a week early.
What to expect from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
While most of the attention has been on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 so far, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also set to get some pretty big upgrades. Bringing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 more in line with what the Motorola Razr has been doing. And that includes having a full-screen cover display. It’s estimated to be about 4.1 inches this time around, with the inner display growing to 6.9 inches. Additionally, both displays are getting much thinner bezels.
There’s been some speculation about the processor that will be powering the Galaxy Z Flip 7, as many are expecting it to be the Exynos 2500 after seeing some Geekbench listings. However, we do still expect to see the Galaxy Z Flip 7 launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.
Samsung is also expected to announce a ton of other devices at Unpacked. This includes the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Watch 8, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. We could also see some surprises, like the Galaxy Buds Core, or even the Galaxy Buds 4.
