Samsung is getting ready to announce the new round of Galaxy Watch smartwatches in just a couple of weeks – in fact, that’s two weeks from today. And as we get closer to Unpacked, we’re seeing more and more leaks about the upcoming devices.
Today, we’re learning of some price increases for Samsung’s new watches. Coming out of Germany, the Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to increase by €40-50, according to WinFuture. So that means we could see the 40mm rise to $349 and the 44mm to $379, here in the US. The report chops this up to the increase of storage to 64GB on the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. Though current economic conditions likely also play a role.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is set to go up to €499. That’s also a roughly €50 price increase from the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

The new Galaxy Watch Ultra price will remain unchanged
Then there’s the Galaxy Watch Ultra. From what we’ve learned from the rumors, it sounds like the Galaxy Watch Ultra won’t really change much. It’ll mostly be a new color option, similar to what Apple did with the Apple Watch Ultra last year. And that is likely why the price is not changing in Germany, it’ll remain €699. Here in the US, it was $649.
It’s worth mentioning as well, that you should take these price rumors with a grain of salt. As the report states, this is converted from foreign prices, which can change what the price will actually be when it launches in other markets. But of course, prices are still subject to change, especially with what’s going on with Trump’s Tariffs here in the US, though Korea didn’t get hit that hard with those.
