Samsung appears to be all set for the launch of another mid-range A-series smartphone, the Galaxy A57. In the past few weeks, multiple leaks and rumors have already hinted at the launch time frame of the smartphone. It’ll reportedly launch in the first or second week of February alongside the Galaxy A37. The same month, Samsung is expected to kick off the first Galaxy Unpacked event of this year, where the company will unveil the Galaxy S26 series. Now, a new leak originating from the Chinese certification site, TENAA, has given us the first official look at the design of the Samsung Galaxy A57.
The first official look of the Galaxy A57 flaunts a thin design
The news comes via popular Indian tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd on X). Over the weekend, the tipster took to X, showing the first official images of the Galaxy A57 sourced from TENAA. You can check out the images below. The leaked images give us the first look at the device’s front, back, and sides. Samsung appears to be using a metal frame for the Galaxy A57, which will supposedly keep the device safe in the event of sideways drops.
On the rear, the Galaxy A57 features a somewhat similar design to the Galaxy A56. The rear camera module, with vertically aligned camera lenses, looks similar to last year. However, the redesigned camera island looks much more prominent when compared to the Galaxy A56. As seen from the sides, the Galaxy A57 appears to come with a thin design. Previous rumors suggest that the upcoming Android smartphone will be 6.9mm thick, matching the thickness of the Galaxy S26.
Speaking of design, the right side of the Galaxy A57 appears to have a slightly bumped-up portion, which Samsung calls the “Key Island.” The color you’re seeing in the images below will officially be called “Purple.” However, we expect Samsung to offer the device in Black and White colorways, too.
What does previous rumors say about the specs
Apart from the design, the TENAA listing also revealed some of the core specifications of the Galaxy A57 last week. The device will reportedly come with a 6.6-inch FHD+ display and an octa-core Exynos chipset. Meanwhile, the TUV listing spotted earlier this month hinted at a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W of fast wired charging. As of now, there are no details on the pricing and availability of the smartphone.
