Samsung recently unveiled the new Galaxy A37 and the Galaxy A57 devices in the market. Now, the company is further expanding its mid-range lineup with the upcoming Galaxy A27. Recent leaks suggest the phone could bring improved performance and upgraded front camera hardware with 4K video recording support.
Galaxy A27 will bring an upgraded front camera with 4K support
As per the information, the Galaxy A27 is reportedly set to feature a 12MP front-facing selfie camera. While this appears to be a step down from the Galaxy A26’s 13MP shooter, it is actually an upgrade. The new model reportedly utilizes a larger camera sensor, which should significantly improve low-light results, image clarity, and overall photo quality.
Another major improvement tied to the upgraded front camera is support for 4K video recording at 30FPS. This marks an improvement from the Full HD recording seen on its predecessor. On the rear, the Galaxy A27 is expected to retain a versatile triple camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera.
Performance and battery upgrades are on the way, too
Further, the Samsung Galaxy A27 is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. If true, the phone will offer a noticeable upgrade over the Exynos 1280 used in the previous generation. Built on a 4nm process, this processor is expected to deliver smoother multitasking, better energy efficiency, and improved gaming performance. However, it may still sit slightly below the performance level of the Exynos 1480 found in higher models.
Talking about the battery and charging, the phone is likely to pack a 5,000mAh cell with 45W fast wired charging support. On the software side, Samsung may equip the device with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, along with long-term support that could include up to six years of updates.
