Sam’s Club submitted plans for the Texas Heritage Marketplace, a 167,990-square-foot construction project at 29153 Katy Freeway, the site of NewQuest Properties Mixed-Use Project in Katy.
BRR Architecture is listed as the design firm for the project.
NewQuest broke ground on the 165-acre, $400 million mixed-use project at the southeastern corner of Interstate 10 and Texas Heritage Parkway in Waller County late last year. The development is designed to include 750,000 square feet of retail, 300,000 square feet of medical office and self-storage space, and two apartment complexes totaling 550 units.
The Houston Business Journal reports NewQuest has secured Target as the anchor tenant for a 149,000-square-foot store. Additional tenants signed so far include EoS Fitness, America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, Milano Nail Spa and Aji Izakaya.
The expectation is for the first tenants to open next year and the last ones by 2027.
