Methodist Hospital Northeast in Live Oak provided an update on its $146 million expansion project, which will add 150,000 square feet to the hospital. The additions include a new three-story tower integrated with the hospital across all three floors. Double-occupancy rooms will be discontinued, and bed capacity will increase from 237 to 295. Work on the latest phase is expected to be complete in 2026.
Support services, including lab, radiology, supplies and cafeteria, will all be enhanced as part of the makeover.
A new patient tower was also built to support this phase of the expansion, and there is potential to add three additional floors when the time comes.
