
Rockbridge sold the downtown Winston-Salem Marriott attached to the Benton Convention Center for over $56 million. The Triad Business Journal reports the company bought the hotel in 2022 for $49.5 million. The hotel has 319 rooms.
The hotel, located at 425 Cherry St., was completed in 1986 and renovated in 2000. The 17-story hotel is nearly 220,000 square feet and sits on 2.1 acres.Â
Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) manages the Winston-Salem Downtown Marriott Hotel. The company also manages the Benton Convention Center and the Butcher & Bull restaurant, which are both attached to the hotel.
HVMG manages hotels and restaurants across the country, including Hilton, Hyatt, Hard Rock Hotel, Marriott and IHG brands. Its other property in North Carolina is the Marriott Greensboro- High Point Airport.
