We Get a Retro Rivian Before GTA 6
Rivian has rolled out something totally rad for Miami. They just opened a new experience space with a retro-cool 2025 Rivian R1S that looks like it drove straight out of a Miami Vice episode. This custom R1S features teal and pink accents over white paint, with blue side stripes, pink tow hooks, and matching headrest details that scream Vice City.
Full marks to Rivian for attempting to spice up their second Miami location with a centrepiece that breaks the mold. In a way, it’s perfectly Rivian in that it’s packaging nostalgia with cutting-edge technology. The Vice City vibe just shows the company has a playful side too.

850 Horsepower Meets 80s Swagger
This Rivian Miami special isn’t just about looking good parked on South Beach. Based on the Rivian R1S Tri, the second-generation SUV that’s quicker than the first-gen Quad-Motor model. The single electric motor at the front and twin electric motors at the rear put out a combined 850 horsepower and 1,103 lb-ft torque.
It’s enough for a claimed 0-60 mph in under 2.9 seconds, and with the standard Max range battery pack, also holds a 371-mile EPA range. The new R1S Tri was designed to offer more power than the base Dual-Motor version, and more range than the 1,025 horsepower Quad version.

Rivian’s Electric Future in Miami
The timing couldn’t be better for Rivian’s Miami expansion. Florida’s growing electric vehicle adoption makes it the second-highest in EV registrations, only behind California. The 4,000 square foot Brickell dealership gives Miami residents their first chance to experience Rivian’s electric adventure philosophy up close. The custom R1S will be displayed prominently, as both showpiece and conversation starter.
Rivian
While Rivian hasn’t announced customer production plans for this Miami edition, it should consider it. The 80s aesthetic feels perfectly at home in a city that never quite let go of that decade’s bold design language. This is one Rivian that proves sustainable transportation doesn’t have to be boring. Sometimes it just needs the right shade of neon pink.
