The former Wyndham Garden Inn, along the San Antonio River, has completed work on a major renovation and rebranding.
The $11 million makeover includes a new name and affiliation for the downtown property, Sol Cypress Hotel. The 131-room facility will be part of the Tribute Hotel by Marriott network.
The hotel will officially reopen on March 19. Amenities include a new signature restaurant and a cafe.
Paradigm Management of San Antonio owns the hotel. San Antonio’s DTM Architects and Los Angeles-based KNA Design led the hotel’s redevelopment project.
The San Antonio Business Journal reports that the property will use its more than 4,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space to tap into San Antonio’s convention business. It also has a new Treehouse venue that will provide guests with a unique view of the river and the city’s downtown skyline.
Tribute Portfolio Hotels has 90 properties in North America and is expanding its international presence with hotels in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Central and South America.Â
