There have been numerous fantastic Ford Mustangs over the decades, but the 1969-1970 Boss 429 ranked among the very best of them. Its 429-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 existed to homologate the powerplant for NASCAR racing. The factory output was 375 horsepower and 450 pound-feet, which were impressive figures for the time. However, it’s widely believed Ford vastly underrated these power figures stats.
