Samsung flagships get online-exclusive colors that are available only through its official web store. For example, the Titanium Jadegreen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra or the Coral Red Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. These are in addition to the usual black, silver and white shades. Samsung might follow the same pattern for its upcoming phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, in an online-exclusive Green Mint Shade. However, you are better off getting the regular color as there are reports of delays in Samsung exclusive color repairs.
Samsung exclusive color repairs reportedly delayed
A Reddit user reached an authorized UBreakFix center to get his Galaxy Z Fold 5 Icy Blue version repaired for network-related issues. But the repair center didn’t have the replacement part of this particular color variant in stock, nor did any other repair centers nearby. This led to the repair technician offering to fix it with a replacement part of a different color. However, they couldn’t proceed as the Samsung Care representative confirmed that the device wouldn’t activate if the colors didn’t match.Â

To make things worse, even Samsung didn’t have the replacement part in stock. After multiple follow-ups, much back-and-forth with the company’s Care representative, Samsung settled for a replacement with $99 deductible, which was later reduced to $1. Despite all this, the replacement device arrived in a different color.
Samsung’s exclusive online colorways may not be selling as well as you’d thinkÂ
This led to assumptions that Samsung’s exclusive colorways don’t sell as much as the standard colors. It isn’t very surprising that an authorized service centre is taking a long time to source the external parts. It’s possible the delays could be much longer while replacing an internal component if you have a Samsung-exclusive color.
The Reddit user had to go through all this despite purchasing Samsung Care Plus. For those unaware, this is an insurance policy that offers worry-free repairs beyond the standard warranty. Scrolling through the comments of the Reddit post shows there are several other similar experiences with part availability for Samsung-exclusive colors. So, if you are looking forward to the upcoming foldables, you may want to consider the regular colors.
