A 47-acre mixed-use project is going in next to Lake Granbury southwest of Fort Worth. Called LakeView Landing, the community will feature a hotel, restaurants, apartments, a large park and townhomes. Realty Capital expects to soon start construction on the project that was being planned as far back as 2019,
The Dallas Business Journal reports that the community will include 288 apartments and 200 units for people 55 and older.
Planned amenities include a putting green, golf cart parking and pickleball courts. Realty Capital has a franchise agreement with Marriott to create SpringHill Suites on-site. Ashton Agency will be the real estate broker on the development. Construction is expected to cost about $28 million and should take about 12 to 14 months.
Realty Capital is funding the development with a construction loan from Texas Bank and Trust. The City of Granbury is creating a public improvement district and selling bonds to fund the infrastructure costs.
