Realme has launched its non-Pro vanilla Realme 16 5G in Vietnam. But we believe it will expand to other regions gradually. The first thing that catches the attention is the iPhone Air-like camera visor on the rear panel. Interestingly, the company is openly calling it “Air Design” (translated). The white color shade gets a gradient design, while the black is for those who like a subtle design. Realme is also emphasizing ingress protection with an IP66/68/69/69K rating.
Realme 16 5G has been launched in Vietnam
The Realme 16 5G sports a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 4,200 nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and AGC DT-Star D+ tempered glass. The phone features MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 Turbo chip, coupled with 8GB/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 native storage options. You get a 7,000mAh titanium battery with 60W fast charging support.
The Realme 16 measures 158.30mm X 75.13mm X 8.10mm and weighs approximately 183 grams, making it quite light. The phone runs on Android 16, with the Realme UI 7.0 skin on top. You get a bunch of AI features like object eraser, AI Blur Fix, and AI Ultra Clear.
50MP camera, 60W fast charging, and 256GB storage
Connectivity options on the Realme 16 5G include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 4G LTE, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and USB Type-C. It gets an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, face unlock, a temperature sensor, and an infrared control. It also features a 6,050mm2 Airflow VC cooling system for heat dissipation.
As for photography, the Realme 16 5G gets a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP monochrome lens. On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera. There are also a few camera features, like Night mode, Portrait, Cinematic, Slow Motion, Dual-View video, and others.
Price, availability
The Realme 16 will arrive in white swan and black cloud colors. The price of the base 8GB/256GB is VND 11,490,000 (~ $443) and VND 12,490,000 (~ $481) for the higher 12GB/256GB version. While availability in other regions is not clear, the phone will look to take on the Redmi Note 15 series.
