- Ram 1500 RHO now offers two new three-inch MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust options.
- Both exhausts are available through the Direct Connection accessories program.
- The pricier xMOD system includes a unique “pissed off” mode for aggressive sound tuning.
Even with their utilitarian roots, plenty of truck fans have been calling for more bite and more noise, and Ram has delivered in a way that keeps the party going even without a V8 under the hood. The 1500 RHO, powered by a feisty 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six, now gets two new exhaust options that give it the deep growl enthusiasts crave.
They may not fully match the booming soundtrack of the supercharged V8 in the TRX, but they bring enough thunder to stand toe-to-toe with rivals like the Ford Ranger Raptor.
Performance Through Sound
The two new exhausts are available through the Direct Connection Affiliated Accessories Program and were developed in partnership between Ram and MagnaFlow. The first exhaust, known as the SPEQ series cat-back, consists of three-inch tubing, an X-pipe, valves, and dual five-inch black chrome tips. It’ll set back owners $2,089 and comes with a two-year warranty.

The second MagnaFlow option is known as the xMOD series cat-back. According to Ram, it has six unique sound combinations, ranging from sporty to “pissed off.” Yes, those are Ram’s words, not ours. Like the cheaper option, this one includes three-inch tubing, an X-pipe, and dual five-inch black chrome tips. It also includes three swappable modules to alter the tone, as well as two swappable mid-pipes. Unsurprisingly, it’s a little pricier, commanding $3,099.
Quiet When You Want It
Both exhausts feature MagnaFlow’s No Drone Technology, which relies on passive noise cancellation to keep the cabin free of annoying resonance. Ram hasn’t said whether these systems unlock any extra power from the six-cylinder engine, but they obviously add character to the RHO’s soundtrack and give drivers more control over how it’s heard on the road.
“Our customers told us they want more attitude from the Ram 1500 RHO, and we’re here to give it to them,” Ram chief executive Tim Kuniskis said. “Performance isn’t just about horsepower and torque, it’s about the full sensory experience. With our new MagnaFlow exhaust options, we’re handing drivers the volume knob and letting them crank it to 11.”
