Manual transmissions are becoming an extremely rare option in new vehicles, and fewer automakers offer them with each passing year. Porsche was among the few to have a manual in both of its sports cars, the 718 and 911, but with the former set to be discontinued and replaced with an electric vehicle and a hybrid, the future of the stick shift in that model seems murky at best. That leaves the Porsche 911, which is currently available with a row-it-yourself option on just two trims: the Carrera T and the hardcore GT3.
