Most of us American-based gearheads know about the classic muscle car era, spanning from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. Back then, nearly every single automobile manufacturer based in the US was involved in creating some sort of muscle-bound model. The typical muscle car recipe was simple: take a mid-size car and shove a large, high-compression V8 under the hood. As an automaker, you might have also added some sporting pin stripes, a trunk spoiler, or maybe even a hood scoop.
