The Google Pixel 6a has been facing multiple battery issues lately. A lot of users have been constantly complaining about the increasing heating problems. Some units even caught fire while being charged or even randomly. The only viable option to escape the danger is either to get the battery or the device replaced. And now, Google has quietly pulled its Pixel 6a refurbished units from its store.
Google Pixel 6a overheating and battery concerns are unstoppable
To address the battery issues. Google rolled out a mandatory software update for the Pixel 6a devices. The update would cut off the maximum battery capacity and the charging speeds. This was being done to ensure that the battery temperature stays under the limit and the potential issues are avoided.
However, despite installing the update, many users have still reported concerns related to the battery and overheating. One of the devices even caught fire very recently. And this is not something a user should ignore. The only way to stay safe from the potentially hazardous issue is to get the device or the battery replaced.
Google quietly pulls the refurbished Pixel 6a device from its store
In the interest of the public and to avoid any further complications, Google has quietly removed the Pixel 6a refurbished unit from its official store. Refurbished units are a great way to save some bucks while getting a device. The Pixel 6a was listed in the store for $249 until very recently.
There have been no official announcements related to the removal of the refurbished Pixel 6a from the listing. We are not even sure when exactly the device was removed. But anyway, all the remaining refurbished devices, such as Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 7a, and Pixel 7 Pro, are still available for the originally listed price on the store.
